Abrams and writer <strong>Zak Penn<\/strong>, teasing a new project that will be made by the trio. He didn\u2019t share any specifics about the plot, unfortunately.<\/p>\n<p>Johnson wrote on Instagram, \u201cYears in the making \u2013 we finally broke bread, we drank, we laughed, got a lil\u2019 drunk (maybe that was just me \ud83d\ude4b\ud83c\udffd\u200d\u2642\ufe0f) we talked life stuff, love stuff, dude stuff and took our time chopping up our passion for movies and storytelling. Then we all raised a glass and toasted to\u2026.yup, this one is gonna be fun.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Of course, we\u2019re just speculating that this is a film that will be an original idea and not some franchise thing. When you\u2019re talking about Johnson and Abrams, there is never the guarantee that this isn\u2019t some sort of franchise film. However, with Johnson seemingly done with superhero stuff, and Abrams burned by the \u201c<strong>Star Wars<\/strong>\u201d experience, it would make sense that these two might want to try something a bit different.<\/p>\n<p>We also don\u2019t know when we might see this film come to theaters.
